After UFO sightings occur near the planet Mars, the spacecraft AAB Gamma is dispatched to investigate. Close to the red planet, the crew encounters a UFO and discovers unusual spores attached to their ship, one of which they bring back to Earth. There, the space spore grows into the giant monster Guilala, which immediately begins unleashing its destructive fury. Spitting fireballs, Guilala searches for energy to feed on, turning every missile fired by the army into nothing more than a quick snack. As Guilala flies around as a glowing ball of energy, destroying everything in its path, scientists work frantically to find a solution.

GUILALA – FRANKENSTEIN’S DEVIL EGG is undoubtedly the most entertaining of all competitors to the world-famous monster Godzilla. Vibrant colors, catchy music, and a truly incredible monster make this lighthearted film a rare feel-good spectacle in Japanese cinema.
