After the death of the owner, the ‘Cleveland Indians’ baseball team is to be sold, as the young widow wants to move to a warmer climate. But to do that, the team has to finish last in the current season. So manager Rachel Phelps (Margaret Whitton) buys the biggest idiots.
Their goal: to lose one game after another. The plan works, because pitcher Ricky (Charlie Sheen) is short-sighted, former baseball pro Jake (Tom Berenger) has a bad knee, Pedro (Dennis Haysbert) conjures up his missing talent with voodoo, and Willie (Wesley Snipes) is so cool he can barely walk. But when the bunch sees through the intrigue, they pull themselves together...

Gus quickly decides to round up his old acquaintances from the Cleveland Indians. Lance the dancer, Cerrano the voodoo magician, Taka Tanaka and many others don't need to be asked twice, and even the veteran stadium commentator Harry Doyle definitely doesn't want to miss the spectacle.
But after their first few appearances in the amateur league, Gus and his troupe face a big challenge: the seemingly unbeatable professionals of the ‘Minnesota Twins’ challenge the ‘Buzz’ to a friendly game...!
