At the edge of our galaxy, an entire solar system explodes. The inhabitants of an Earth-like planet have chosen our good old Earth as their new home. Using their advanced technology, they manage to pilot their UFOs to a remote point on the edge of the Mojave Desert, where they encounter a family with a young daughter.

She is the only person on Earth who can see the strange beings—and communicate with them.

But the arrival of these visitors from outer space throws time itself into chaos. Time leaps span millions of years, magnetic storms erupt, dinosaurs threaten mankind, and UFOs streak across the skies at the speed of light. Yet the “Others” are here to help. As everything begins to collapse, it is the little girl who leads humanity to safety in the mysterious “City of Light” that has risen in the desert.
