Frustrated that he cannot afford the expensive advertising products himself, the dressman Roger swindles his way to wealth through uncompromising robberies. One day, he meets Helga, the beautiful wife of the filthy rich gallery owner Robert Arnold. Since the young woman does not feel truly loved by her husband, she spends more and more time with the handsome gangster and gradually becomes part of his bloody robberies. When her husband spies on her and discovers the secret, he gives them both an ultimatum so he won't report them to the police. But he doesn't count on Roger's ruthlessness, who has long had other plans in mind. At the same time, two sinister figures are after Roger, wanting to settle an old score with him.
As the noose tightens around Roger's neck, he decides to flee, but first he wants to make one last big score...
