American writer Kenneth Magee bets his publisher that he can write a horror novel in a single night. The publisher takes him up on his bet and sends Magee to an old country house that has supposedly been uninhabited for decades. However, the enchanted “House of Long Shadows” turns out to be a hotbed of terrible events, a breeding ground for poisonings, murder, and manslaughter.
